Identification of informative markers of SSR in Aegilops crassa accessions of Iran

Authors

Abstract

The association between 140 microsatellite bands of 20 primer pairs and 13 quantitative traits recorded on 70 Aegilops crassa from Iran was evaluated. Pearson’s coefficients showed significant correlations between some morphological traits. Polymorphic information contents (PIC) of loci were in the range of 0/16 (Xgwm190) to 0/44 (Xgwm161). The result of multiple regression analysis showed significant relationship between 87 SSR markers and 13 morphological traits. Using the informative markers correlated with desirable traits, may facilitate preliminary selection of there traits for breeding purposes.
