The analysis of Management factors of corn growers in Kerman province
Abstract
To determine the effective factors on yield performance of corn, 40 corn growers were selected using two stages sampling method from Orzooeyeh in Kerman province. Data were collected by questionnaires and interview. Frontier production function and technical unefficiency function were estimated with Front. 4 software.
Using Dalinous method the selected corn growers divided to three groups according to their yield performance.
Analyze of variance and T-test showed that socio-economics factors (Kind of ownership and fragment experience, education and cultivated area) were the most effective factors on difference of yield performance. According to the results, the average of technical efficiency for landowners and non-landowners were 58 and 46% respectively.
